Richard S. Carlquist is a Financial Advisor for Financial Network Investment Corporation, a registered investment advisor, brokerage firm and SIPC member headquartered in El Segundo, California. Financial Network is a member of Cetera Financial Group.
Richard works primarily with high net worth families/individuals, successful business owners and non-profit investment committees. He focuses on multi-generational family wealth planning, investment management and assisting families with the design, implementation and maintenance of their retirement planning strategy. He also assists surviving spouses with the myriad of transitional financial matters they face.
Richard’s financial career started in 1995 after retiring as a US Navy Special Operations Officer. He graduated from the US Naval Academy in 1980 and received an MBA from Honolulu’s Chaminade University in 1992 with an emphasis in Taxation. Richard frequently teaches at local schools, corporations and churches, providing information on retirement planning, asset allocation, investment management, employee stock options and estate planning. To maintain his professional proficiency he’s an active member of several organizations including the Estate Planning Council of San Diego and the Financial Planning Association.
Richard is a Trustee for the US Naval Academy Foundation in Annapolis, MD and is also an active supporter of the San Diego community. Locally he serves as Membership VP for the Estate Planning Council of San Diego and is on the Board of the San Diego Chapter of the US Naval Academy Alumni Association. Committed to financial education he has been teaching basic investing courses to San Diego based Sailors and Marines since 1996.
